Alternative & complementary therapies: focus on epilepsy

Clin Nurs Pract Epilepsy. 1997 Jul;4(2):4-8.

Abstract

Many patients continue to search for ways to gain better control of their seizures and improve the quality of their lives. While nontraditional therapies are used by many, a clearer understanding of the benefits and risks of each therapeutic option is needed. Appropriately utilized, complementary therapies can play an integral part in patient-centered comprehensive epilepsy care.
