Abstract

The efficacies of two methods of extracorporeal detoxication, hemodialysis and hemosorption, was assessed on the basis of the results of spectrophotometric, peptide, and biologic studies in 54 women with acute renal failure in the postpartum period caused by massive blood loss at childbirth. Both the methods were found to eliminate various toxic products from the blood serum, this justifying their application.
