Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy and paraproteinemic neuropathies

Curr Opin Neurol. 1994 Oct;7(5):393-7. doi: 10.1097/00019052-199410000-00005.

Abstract

Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy and the neuropathies associated with monoclonal gammopathies represent a significant proportion of initially undiagnosed neuropathies. Over the past year, a number of publications have provided information on the clinical characteristics, mechanisms, and possible relationships between these neuropathies. This review summarizes this recent information, with an emphasis on the relevance to therapy.
