Mirror-image temporal arteriovenous malformations presenting with left cervical internal carotid aneurysm

Br J Neurosurg. 2012 Dec;26(6):921-2. doi: 10.3109/02688697.2012.692843. Epub 2012 Jul 31.

Abstract

We report an unusual case of bilateral mirror-image arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) in association with a large internal carotid aneurysm. The patient, a 45-year-old man, was asymptomatic apart from a lump in his neck. Both AVMs were successfully occluded with embolisation and the patient remains clinically well.
